The Eileen Lyons Bursary

We lost a precious member to our choirs, and a grandmother figure to our director, just as COVID was finally releasing its grip. Eileen's daughter Kelly, a current member of our Orillia group, and the family felt this loss immensely.
Her loving husband, Tom, and extended family, very generously have donated money towards a bursary that our Sing It group created in Eileen's honour. The recipient of this bursary writes a letter to the family and the director as to why they wish to be with the choir, and they are then all put together to make the impossible choice of who will receive this financial support. We miss you, dear one, and sing from our hearts knowing you are there in the part 3 section singing away with us. |
