Who is the Men's Sing It Choir for?

If you're 14 or older, identify as a man, and enjoy singing - whether
in the car, in the shower, around a campfire or you've been on stage before - you'll fit right in!
You don't need experience.  You don't need to read music.  You don't even need to think you're a "good singer."

You just need to enjoy music and be willing to encourage the people around you.

No music reading?  No problem:
  • we learn primarily by listening and singing together.
  • Each singer receives professionally recorded learning tracks for their vocal part, making it easy to practice whenever it fits your schedule.  If you can listen, you can learn.

Experience is NOT a pre-requisite

Many of our members have not sung in years - or have never sung in a choir before.

We do NOT audition

There are no auditions, and no one is expected to be perfect.  Every rehearsal is an opportunity to learn, improve, and have fun along the way.  Through the season, I'll share practice vocal tips and techniques to help you sing with greater confidence, comfort, and enjoyment.

Music you'll actually enjoy singing!
We'll explore a wide variety of music - from rock, pop, folk, country, movie soundtracks, Broadway, Canadian favourites, Celtic music, and more.
Have a favourite song?  Tell us!  I'm always looking for great repertoire and love hearing ideas from our members.

Everyone is welcome here!

Sing-It is an LGBTQ+ friendly community where kindness, respect and encouragement come first.  Our goal is simple:  create a place where men can enjoy making music together, build friendships, share a few laughs, and leave each rehearsal feeling better than when they arrived.

We welcome new singers until May of each year.

At the end of the year we will celebrate everything we've accomplished with a fundraising concert for a local charity, for family, friends and our community.

Located in the Simcoe County area, including Orillia, Midland and Barrie area,  we offer classes in the performing arts. This includes drama (acting), music (vocal / singing) and dance. Putting all three forms of artistic expression together, our students (ages 4-16) experience the joy of musical theatre. Our program is open to kids of all experience and skill levels and our program is designed in a way that builds confidence for each individual student. Our students also develop excellent communication and team building skills, grow in self-esteem and enjoy the benefits of improved coordination and fitness levels. All of our students learn essential life skills that will stay with them throughout their life. Creative kids love our classes as we provide fun activities in the performing arts!
We offer summer camps which are  an experience where lifelong friendships are formed, where learning about life and leadership skills are integral part of a fun musical theater camp experience.    Campers experience a fun and exciting summer camp.   Your child can fill their summer break with a fun musical theatre experience at our camps. We also provide choirs for both adults and children, which gives individuals opportunities to sing without the pressure of music-reading or auditions.   We offer a  casual women's choir which is fun if you love to sing.
